Even almost 35 years after reunification, many people still do not see the Federal Republic of Germany as a united country. But couldn’t the different perspectives from East and West Germany serve as a model for our multicultural society shaped by migration? In this context, the question also belongs to what role the distinction between East and West will play for the next generation.
